“Design Is Risky, IT Is Safe”
Situation
Pallavi studied engineering in a women’s college in Hyderabad. Grades were average. Nothing special, nothing bad. Campus placement gave her an IT services job. Parents felt relieved. At least something is there, they said. Friends said take it first, you can always change later. During college, Pallavi liked design work, visuals, layouts. A design boot camp came up. Fees were high. No guarantee. Family asked only one thing—why leave a sure job?

Everyone keeps saying IT is safe. But when I imagine doing it every day, I feel blank. Still, design feels scary. What if I fail?
Having Said That…
She chose design. Some months were good, some months nothing. Parents kept asking if she wants to try IT again. Friends moved step by step in companies. Pallavi’s path looked uneven. By normal standards, it was unstable. By her own, she felt more awake, even on difficult days.
