Situation
Megha finished her MBA from a mid-ranked institute. Nothing fancy, nothing bad. She got an operations role through campus. Stable hours. Clear process. Seniors pulled her aside and said, if you really want to grow fast, go to sales. That’s where money and power move. Family said sales means pressure, targets, insecurity. No fixed life. Operations sounded safer, easier to explain, easier to breathe in.

By market standards, she moved slowly. By her own, she stayed calm. Some nights she wonders how far she could have gone. Then she reminds herself why she didn’t go there.
