“The Startup Was Our Plan-B for Not Getting Good Jobs”
Situation
Kiran studied engineering in Hyderabad. No top placement came. His friend group started saying, “Let’s do startup.” The idea sounded like confidence, but Kiran could feel the panic under it. Parents said, “Try again for jobs.” Friends said, “Jobs are slavery.” One uncle said, “Startup is also slavery, just without salary.” Kiran laughed, then felt insulted, then felt scared.
Thought Bubble
Are we building a company… or just running away from rejection?
Having Said That…
Kiran joined a small job first. The friend group tried startup for six months, then slowly disappeared into other jobs. Nobody announced failure. They just stopped talking about it. Kiran didn’t win. He just avoided a trap. |
