Situation
Deepak from Alwar had just finished B.Com. Campus placements were weak. He got an offer from a small FMCG company — role involved visiting retailers, taking orders, travelling across districts. At a family function, chacha said — “Bank ki tayari karo. Respect bhi hai, life set ho jayegi.” Everyone nodded.

Stable job sounds right… but will I clear those exams? And till then… what do I do?

He joined the FMCG role “temporarily”. Work was tiring — heat, travel, rejections. But he started understanding how products move, how margins work, how shopkeepers think. Two years later, he still hasn’t cleared bank exams. But now he says — “Bank ka wait karte karte main ruk jata… yahan chalna seekh gaya.” 👉 Sometimes advice protects. Sometimes it delays.
