Situation
Imran used to work part-time at an electronics shop. He would talk to customers, explain product differences, help them decide. In college, when asked about his strengths, he would say — “I am good at communication.”

Having Said That…
In one discussion, someone pointed out — what he was doing was not just talking. He was helping confused customers make decisions. Sometimes they came for one product and left with another, because they trusted his explanation. That’s when he realiseds — this is actually marketing at a small level. Not big campaigns, but real influence. Now when he speaks, he doesn’t say “I have good communication”. He explains what he has actually done.
