Module 9.8 - Right…. But According to Whom

Right…. But According to Whom?

Situation; Nitin, 46, is a senior corporate executive weighs 82 kilograms been active, energetic and in good health. This year, three fresh MBA graduates joined his team, all tall, lean and weighed around 65–70 kilograms. For the first time, Nitin began feeling that he was overweight.

He asked AI, "How can I lose weight in a healthy way?" The suggestions were familiar. Intermittent fasting. High-protein diet. Calorie control. He followed them sincerely for almost six weeks. Yes, he lost around two kilograms. But he also noticed something else.

One weekend, his old friend Chandan came to visit. He saw his friend looking tired and no longer greeted people with the same enthusiasm. After listening to the whole story, Chandan smiled and said, "Let's ask AI a different question this time." Both sat together and continued exploring. Came to realize that Nitin was perfectly healthy and had very balanced diet so decided to revert to his original.

Thought 1; "If someone weighs more than the people around them, reducing weight is generally a sensible goal. The real challenge is finding that is it required."

Thought 2; Is it not right to also consider age, body structure, genetics, muscle mass and long-term health matter more than comparison with other people?"

Reflection; What thinking comes closest to your own? If you were developing an AI-powered health platform, what would you encourage people to understand before recommending a solution?

Mentor's Reflection; The quality of an answer often depends on the quality of the question. Before asking AI for a solution, make sure you have correctly understood the problem.
