Counseling Measures Interest. Employers Measure Capability.
• Many counseling tools begin by exploring interests, values and personality traits.
• Students are often asked what they enjoy doing or what kind of work excites them.
• Employers, however, usually look for something more practical -
what can a person actually do, and how reliably can they deliver results?
When these two conversations move in different directions, the gap quietly remains unresolved.
Interest may inspire a career. Capability is what ultimately sustains it.
