Around 2016–2023, employees began saying, “Boss toh hai… par leader kaun hai?” The frustration spread from startups to government offices, and slowly a new wish emerged — not for bigger bosses, but for mentors who guide without ego. Today the shift from leadership deficit to mentor power is discussed in colleges, offices, and even family WhatsApp groups.
