Q27. Office Peacocking; Office Peacocking emerged when workplaces noticed people showing confidence the way peacocks show feathers — loud, colourful, and slightly extra. The term picked up after 2018 when social media made “looking impressive” more important than actually being prepared. Today it’s everywhere: in presentations with too many English buzzwords, in meetings where someone speaks a lot but says little, and in offices where style often outruns substance. It’s the performance of brilliance, not always the reality.
