Once Upon a Time...
I am Vikram, 38, living in Sector 14, Gurugram. I work in procurement and usually mind my own business. One evening my neighbour, Mrs. D’Costa, asked if I could help move her fridge slightly for cleaning.

I hesitated. I was tired and thinking this may turn into a bigger task.

It took ten minutes. She smiled and offered tea. It felt normal, not heroic.
