An accomplished forest, environment and wildlife expert of international repute is currently an Expert Member of National Tiger Conservation Authority, a statutory body under the Ministry of Environment, Forest and climate Change, Government of India. He played significant role in making Kumbhalgarh Forest to become a Tiger Reserve in South Rajasthan. He is also on the panel of Zoo evaluator/s for Central Zoo Authority, Government Of India.
After graduation in Agriculture Engineering and Higher Standard Diploma in Forestry and Allied Sciences from State Forest Service College, Coimbatore joined State Forest Services in 1982. In near four decades of his illustrious career has been Divisional forest Officer from 1999 to 2014 managing Forest Conservation and Wildlife. Became Field Director for Ranthambhore Tiger Project, Sawaimadhopur Rajasthan and finally retired as Chief Conservator of Forests in 2019.
In his present capacity as Founder and President of GREEN PEEPAL SOCIETY has pioneered many environment, climate and wildlife Initiatives. He is also credited with many adventure tourism initiatives.
